A few odes and ends

Aside from the stuff I’ve been posting recently I have been seeing other odes and have a bit of a photo backlog to clear to here goes.

DSCN2191 ltt1 ltt2 ltt3

Three images of Lance-tipped Darner Aeshna constricta (Aeschne constrictor) from Baie Brazeau and a Racket-tailed Emerald Dorocordulia libera (Cordulie écorcée) from the same place.

P1070638 copy P1070746 P1070807

Back-end shots of Lyre-tipped Spreadwing Lestes unguiculatus (Leste Onguiculé) showing the twisty bits Not the technical term I know!) and two bluets with similar dangly bits, Tule Bluet Enallagma carunculatum (Agrion des scirpes) and Familiar Bluet Enallagma civile (Agrion civil).

P1070721 P1070734

A full frame shot of a female Northern Spreadwing Lestes disjunctus (Leste disjoint) plus a close up of its ‘end’ area – I’m trying hard not to think these shots of as ‘ode porn’.

P1070795

A Saffron-winged Meadowhawk Sympetrum costiferum (Sympétrum rubigineux).

P1070798

A shot of an Eastern Amberwing Perithemis tenera (Périthème délicate) in a typical pose.

P1070669 P1070693 wffac

Three shots of a meadowhawk sp (discuss?). Probably a White-faced Meadowhawk Sympetrum obtrusum (Sympétrum éclaireur).

Hope you find these interesting and don’t mind my little jokes.
